The Free Enterprise Alliance is leading the campaign to Halt the Assault on America’s free enterprise system. The Free Enterprise Alliance is the action arm for small businesses, entrepreneurs and other advocates of limited government, open and fair (and intense) competition, and the economically sound principles upon which America was built.

At the heart of the Free Enterprise Alliance’s mission is the belief that while we need government for common sense regulations, the scales have tipped too far in favor of government intrusion and its advocates. The Free Enterprise Alliance believes small business and entrepreneurs—not union bosses and federal bureaucrats—grow jobs and our economy.

The Free Enterprise Alliance was founded by the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. to advocate for the voice of small business as well as open and fair competition. Since its inception, it has fought for these goals through research, outreach, and national TV, radio and billboard campaigns.

History of Advocating for Free Enterprise

  • Halt The Assault on Free Enterprise (In 2010, the Free Enterprise Alliance launched Halt The Assault, which has built a 100,000+ grassroots army, been interviewed by 200+ radio and cable news programs, and taken its message to top free enterprise-focused online outlets)
  • Fighting Card Check (The Free Enterprise Alliance took a leading role in fighting the anti-employee, job-killing card check bill known as the “Employee Free Choice Act” by taking to airwaves in key Senate races in 2008 and building a leading issue repository at TheTruthAboutEFCA.com.)
  • Supporting Pro-Business Efforts (The Free Enterprise Alliance is routinely engaged in supporting key pro-business efforts from California to Florida when the message of free enterprise, fair play, and limited government can protect taxpayers and small businesses.)
